Sony and Microsoft
are currently marketing their next generation consoles, the Xbox One and the PlayStation
4. At a glance, both consoles have almost completely similar capabilities. Both
systems come equipped with 500GB of hard drive space, multi-core processors and
AMD graphics. However, with a big, fast block RAM and a larger GPU, PS4 seems
to have the edge. At its reveal, Xbox One mentioned its restrictions on
game-sharing and a required internet connection. Sony took advantage of the
negative reaction Xbox received and quickly announced that there would be no
restrictions or required internet connection on the PlayStation 4. Soon after,
Microsoft retracted its game-sharing policy and internet requirements. The Xbox One is priced at $500 while the
PlayStation 4 clocks in lower at only $400.
