1. Candle Holder-
This is a craft that can
dress up any place. It is super easy, and it is appropriate for every day
decoration and fancy events as well. This craft is a great for fall, and is a
great decoration to get you in the fall spirit. Here’s how to do it!
Materials Needed:
Glass/vase
Small twigs
Tea light candle
Lighter/match
Step 1:
Fill the vase with water
Step 2:
Arrange the twigs in the
desired form
Step 3:
Add the candle to the glass
Step 4:
Light the candle and you’re
done
2. Melted Crayons-
This is a fun craft, and it
looks awesome. It is great for fall, but it can be done in any season. This
craft is great for younger kids, but it can also be fun for all other ages. The
colors of crayons can be changed according to seasons, so for fall I would
recommend oranges, reds, browns, and reds. Here's what to do!
Materials Needed:
Crayons
Glue
Melting surface
Hair dryer
(Optional: design cutout)
Step 1: Gather the desired
amount of crayons and arrange them in a rainbow format
Step 2: Glue the crayons to
the melting surface
Step 3: Prop the board (melting
surface) up in a slant
Step 4: Glue down design
Step 5: Tape a plastic cup
over the design
Step 6: Blow dry the crayons
and switch from cool to hot temperature and from high to low pressure
Step 7: Take off the cup and
your project is done
3. Paper Tree-
This is an awesome thing to
make for a permanent decoration. Not only can it be used for fall, but it can
be used for winter, spring, summer, and anything else in between else that needs
decoration. The words on the cards can be changed to fit the occasion, so the
tree works for anything. Here’s the steps to take to make your decoration!
Materials Needed:
Newspaper
Sharpies
Glue
Ribbon
Tape
“Tree topper”
Thin plywood
Paint of desired color
Step 1: Paint the plywood
Step 2: cut newspaper in
gradually smaller sizes
Step 3: Roll the newspaper
to desired thickness
Step 4: Cut out a small
rectangle for the trunk of the tree
Step 5: Write desired words
or sayings on small rectangles of any type of paper
Step 6: Check if the paint
is dry on the plywood in order to begin gluing
Step 7: Glue down the trunk,
then the longest roll of newspaper, and continue until they make the shape of a
tree (leaving space for the rectangles)
Step 8: Tape the rectangles
down (in order to change them according to the season)
Step 9: Tie a bow with the
ribbon and place at the top of the tree, along with the desired “tree topper”
4. Melted Candles-
Candles are always fun when
put into a craft. These specific candles have a dual purpose; use them as
decoration, and then burn them to make a room smell nice. When doing this
craft, be sure to use caution, as there will be hot wax. Here’s how to make it!
Materials Needed:
White candles
Other candles of desired
colors
Dish to hold white candles
Step 1: Place white candles
on dish
Step 2: Start burning
colored candles
Step 3: As the wax melts,
pour over the top of white candles
Step 4: Continue pouring
until desired affect is reached
Step 5: Let all candles cool
and burn white ones
5. Chalkboard Mug-
This is a fun craft, and can
be worked on over and over again. This is super easy, and it can be really fun.
It is a creative way to make your cup fun. It also makes a great and simple
gift. Here’s how to do it!
Materials Needed:
Chalkboard paint
Solid color mug
Piece of chalk
Paintbrush
Tape
Step 1: Tape off the mug
Step 2: Dip or paint the mug
in or with the chalkboard paint
Step 3: Let paint dry
Step 4: Take tape off
Step 5: Draw on the mug
