Do it Yourself: Week 4

Materials:

A canvas bag, fabric paint, sponge brushes, and two stencils.

Step 1:

Print out your stencil and cut it out but make sure to cut inside the stencil to leave the surroundings intact.

Step 2:

Take the inside of the stencil (the part you cut out) and glue it down on a sheet of paper. Once the glue is dried, cut the outside edges and leave the inside stencil intact.

Step 3:

Take the stencil you cut out in step 2 and tape it down to your bag. Then take a duller color and paint the edges.

Step 4:

Switch the stencils and use the stencil from step one to create a bolder look. Paint the inside in a brighter color and alternate if wanted.

Step 5 (optional):

So that your background isn’t just plain, add a little of the paint on the brush and lightly dab it on the surroundings.
