The original Texas
Chainsaw Massacre hit theaters in 1974 shocking America. A chainsaw
carrying maniac gruesomely slaying travelers terrified Americans. The idea of
being chased by a murderer with a chainsaw down dirt roads in the Texan summer
would traumatizing… if you’re lucky enough to survive.
Late 2003
the gruesomely true story resurfaced. The remake hit theaters, yet again
shocking America. Everyone knew the story but the film remake focused on the
brutality of the murders.
Many may not
know the true background of The Texas
Chainsaw Massacre is focused on Ed Gein. Ed Gein was a serial killer who
skinned his victims and preserved their skin. Hollywood just made his story a
tad more brutal to horrify and interest America.
