1.
North Face-
North Face jackets may be expensive, but
they are definitely worth it. There are many different varieties of North Face
jackets, and each of them are made for different things. Some of the different
jacket types are: skiing/ snowboarding, hoodies, rainwear, lifestyle, soft
shells, and more. There is a jacket made for almost any activity, within
reason. These jackets hold up well, and can withstand the weather and wear and
tear that they are designed for. I have a soft shell jacket, and I love it. It
is great for a light jacket, and it is also good for a warm up jacket because
it allows movement and airflow.
2.
Mountain Hardware-
Mountain Hardware jackets also fall on the
expensive side, but they are also totally worth it. Like North Face, there are
many different styles of jackets. Some of these include: shells, fleece,
rainwear, and more. This brand specializes in mountain and rock climbing, but
it also makes jackets for other activities. I have a rain jacket from this
brand, and it is great. It keeps me dry, but it also serves as a windbreaker
and helps keep me warm.
3.
Colombia-
Most Colombia jackets heir on the
reasonably priced side, but some of the more advanced and “fancy” jackets are
more expensive. Colombia jackets are great, and they hold up well. There are
many types of jackets offered through Colombia, such as: interchangeable,
fleece, casual, and more. I have a fleece jacket, and it is great to use during
the winter. If you do not want a big ciat, the fleece is perfect for keeping me
warm, but it is also light enough to wear during the fall. Colombia offers a special
technology called omni-. This technology includes the braches of omni-dry,
omni-shade, omni- block, and more. These jackets are more expensive, but they
also do more.
4.
Patagonia-
Patagonia jackets land on the higher priced
side of jackets, but once again, they are worth it. Patagonia offers many
different types of jackets, including waterproof, regulator fleece, casual/
lifestyle, and more. Patagonia has jackets for snowboarding/ skiing, climbing,
running, and many other activities. I feel like the best type of jacket to buy
would be a fleece one for winter. Patagonia has regulator fleece, which helps
regulate your body temperature.
5.
Marmot-
Once again, Marmot jackets are on the
expensive side. The jackets are excellent quality, and they are worth the
money. Like the other brands, Marmot offers many styles of jackets. These
include: synthetic insulated, ultra light, windproof, and many others. These
jackets are made for several activities, such as urban exploration, snow
sports, backpacking, and others. I have heard that both the rain jackets and
thicker jackets/coats are the best to buy from this brand because they are great
for keeping you warm and protecting your body from the weather.
