Brett Brown and his young Philadelphia 76ers team have
extended their losing streak after a loss to San Antonio. The loss did not come
as a surprise to anyone, and just one more will tie the NBA’s record for
longest losing streak. The 76ers have a chance to a set the losing-streak
record not just for the NBA, but also for all four of the major professional
sports- Baseball, Basketball, Football, and Hockey. It is quite possible that
the 76ers could go the rest of the season without winning another game.
While the 76ers have a very young team, no one expected them
to have this little success. The only good thing about losing these games, is
that they have a very high chance of gaining the number one lottery pick in the
upcoming draft, which may or may not be a good thing for an already too-young
team.
“Obviously, it's a rough season
for them,'' Tim Duncan, Center for San Antonio, said. ''It's a rebuilding
season for them. Brown knows that, they know that. They have a lot of young
guys. He's just trying to get the system in place that has them playing the way
he wants them playing. It's a process. He knows that.”
