            When it comes to makeup, there are many different brands to choose from. Sometimes, it can be hard to find the perfect product. However, once you find a brand you love, most of the time, you are hooked for life.

• ·      NARS- Founded by François Nars in 1994, it has slowly had time to become one of the most highly favored makeup of all time. It is known for the extremely popular blush, Orgasm, which was such a success that they released a whole line of products by the same name. The line consists of a lip-gloss, a multiple, an illuminator, and a nail polish. That line was such a success that Nars released another line, Super Orgasm.

• ·      MAC- Mac, which stands for Make-up Art Cosmetics, is a brand known among makeup enthusiasts everywhere. Founded in 1994, in Ontario, it has risen to the ranks as one of the most prestige makeup brands. While it is celebrated for its Pro Longwear face line, it is more often than not praised for its amazing lipstick line. MAC is divided into two sections, regular MAC, and MAC Pro. You can purchase regular MAC cosmetics anywhere, however if you wish to purchase the Pro items, you either have to order them online, or at a Pro store.

• ·      Benefit- Benefit, founded in 1976, in San Francisco. Twins, Jane and Jean Ford, founded it. Benefit is known for its quick fix products and adorable packaging. Constantly releasing new products, each better than the last, Benefit is a favorite among makeup lovers. The decision of creating a boutique was merely based on a coin toss, heads for a casserole cafe and tails for beauty boutique.

• ·      NYX- NYX, named after the Greek Goddess that ruled the night, was founded in 1999 by Toni K. NYX offers a huge selection of products, and can be found at Ulta, NYXcosmetics.com, or at some Targets. What makes NYX so special, is that their collections are permanent. With a lot of variety, and very affordable prices, NYX is a brand most people are fond of.

• ·      Kat Von D- Kat Von D’s self-titled makeup line was founded in 2008. It is exclusive to Sephora. Since Kat Von D is a lover of tattoos, most of her face products are medium to full coverage, and made to cover tattoos. She also has a line of lipsticks, and eyeshadow. She often gets into legal trouble due to her offensive cosmetic names.

• ·      Givenchy- Givenchy, founded in 1955 in France, is a widely known makeup brand. It was founded by Hubert De Givenchy. The brand sells clothing, accessories, perfumes, and of course, cosmetics. Celebrities have been known not only to sport the cosmetics, but also some clothing on the red carpet.

• ·      Bobbi Brown- Bobbi Brown’s self-titled brand was founded in 1990. However, its first products, ten shades of natural lipsticks, did not debut until 1991. In 1995, Estée Lauder bought the company. While there are about thirty freestanding stores, you can find it sold at countless shopping centers and Sephoras. The brand also has six fragrances. With its great quality, it is a favorite among makeup artists and enthusiasts.

• ·    Sephora Collection- The Sephora Collection, like its name, is a line of cosmetics by Sephora. The name Sephora, is a combination of the Greek word “Sephos”, which means beauty, and the name Zipporah. The line also consists of skincare products, brushes, and nail polish. Sephora was founded in 1970 in Paris. While in Sephora, you may be distracted by all of the other brands, it never hurt to quickly look at the lines products, and you may find something great. The line has a huge variety of high quality products.

• ·      Rimmel – Rimmel, founded in 1834, is a widely known brand among makeup enthusiasts. It is known for its Stay Matte powder, which is extremely affordable and great in quality. While the U.S. may not be able to get all of the products, it gets a part of them, becoming “Rimmel London”. You can find this great brand at most drugstores.

• ·      Urban Decay- Urban Decay, founded in 1996, is a favored brand among most makeup lovers. In 2000, it was purchased by Louis Vuitton. It offers “Vegan Brushes”, which means that the brushes are not animal hair. Its has a wide rang of products, and defies any beauty norm, possibly due to its motto, “Beauty With An Edge.” It is highly exalted for its Naked collection.

• ·      Kardashian Beauty- While it may not be the most well known, Kardashian Beauty is a truly amazing brand. The brand has faced many legal issues. The original name was “Khroma”, however, another brand by the name of “Kroma”, shut it down quickly. It is owned by Kourtney, Kloe, and Kim, Kardashian. They must have a thing for K’s.

• ·      BUXOM- BUXOM cosmetics is a brand owned by Bare Escentuals. Bare Escentuals also owns bareMinerals. While BUXOM may be a relatively new comer to the makeup scene, it has quickly stolen the show with many of its products. It is known for its selection of lip plumpers.

• ·      Marc Jacobs- Marc Jacobs released his self-entitled makeup line just last year. It can be found at Sephora, among other places, sold with his award winning fragrances. Jacobs also owns fashion and accessory line.

• ·      Tarte- Tarte cosmetics, founded in 1999, by Maureen Kelly. It is highly concerned with the environment, and strives to make eco-friendly formulas. It is known for making its products with natural ingredients. Some of its ingredients include Amazonian Clay, and Maracuja Oil. It has won many awards for its Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush. Which, from a personal opinion. Is possibly one of the greatest blushes on the market.

• ·      Napoleon Perdis- Napoleon Perdis founded his self-titled makeup line in 1995, in Sydney, Australia. It has been sold under many names, such as: The Look, The Look by Napoleon, and finally, Napoleon Perdis. It is known for its Divine Goddess collection. It was released in 2007. You can find it at independent stores, and your local Ulta.
