Making the 2014 Olympics by only 26
days, Julia Lipnitskaia is the shinning star.
The United States has their own teen diamond, Gracie Gold.
Russia’s
Lipnitskaia helped out tremendously in the team figure skating on Friday,
Febuary 7th through Sunday, Feburary 9th.
Although Lipnitskaia is only 15 she can jump, she has the artistry, and
she has the nerves. “I’ve never seen anything
out there like the atmosphere out there today,” Lipnitskaia said. “There wasn’t silence for a single second.” Watch

United States’ Gracie Gold, an 18-year-old figure skater, is the new ice
princess since
Michelle Kwan left the ice. Vancouver’s
2010 Olympics, American skaters “failed to win an Olympic medal in figure
skating for the first time since 1964.”
The skate fit for Gracie Gold’s first Olympics by helping the U.S. team
skating win bronze. "I think she's
incredibly elegant," coach Frank Carroll said. "She has a beautiful
face, a beautiful body and she's long and she jumps high and she floats through
the air . … Kind of a complete package."
