Spring into Fall

The cool, crisp air and the crunching of leaves beneath our shoes is what tells us fall is upon us. The changing seasons bring new activities moving us out of the hot, summer heat.
For Friday nights, football is the most popular activity with tailgating or catching the game at a friends. If you aren’t a football fan, you could stay at home with friends and carve pumpkins, play apples to apples, and make candy apples or pumpkin bread for some fun snacks.
The fall has always been a good time to find some of our favorite sweaters, grab a cup of warm cider and go for a drive to enjoy the scenery of Tennessee. On the weekends or over Fall Break, you could find a cozy place in the mountains to set up a tent, camp in the cool weather and bring a hammock to enjoy the brisk air.
Once Halloween draws near, people love to keep it scary. In our area there are several haunted houses to attend such as Frightmare Manor or Ripleys Haunted Adventure and many more. Most haunted houses have special events happening in the month of October. Haunted corn mazes are also fun if you are feeling adventurous, Dead Mans Farm or Trail of Doom that are only open in the months of October and November. These are always a good way to get in the Halloween spirit. If you aren’t feeling that dangerous, then you could host a Halloween party or bonfire and play horror movies.

Falling leaves, cozy sweaters, Halloween and camping remain just a few of the many benefits this Autumn season brings.
