Starbucks Fall Beverages

Starbucks Fall Beverages
By: Moira Webb

As the seasons, change, so do people’s taste palettes. Colors change, and most importantly, coffee flavors change. They become crisper and spicier. Coffee is essential to many people. To others, it is a guilty pleasure. While many places serve their own specialties, Starbucks is commonly heralded as the premiere coffee house. Starbucks offers many delicious beverages, but as the seasons change, certain classics are once again served.

Pumpkin Spice Lattés, commonly known as a PSL, are among the most popular drinks Starbucks has yet to serve.  Ingredients such as nutmeg, clove, pumpkin, and many other spices simply invoke the oncoming season. With its warm, spicy taste, it is sure to warm customers even in the brisk Fall air. With its early release this year, it is bound to be the drink of the fall once again.

Besides the PSL, Starbucks have also released some newcomers this season. Among these newcomers is the Salted Caramel Mocha. Another espresso, this drink features a sweeter taste compared to other Fall drinks. This tasty treat is sure to send your taste buds on a journey. However, with it’s high caloric value, customers might want to enjoy this beverage in moderation.

The final drink among the fall trio, is another latté. A chai tea latté, to be exact. However, this is no ordinary beverage. Aside from its decadent ingredients such as black tea and rooibos,  cinnamon, and more, it also has a legendary creator. The full name for this beverage is a Teavana Oprah Chai Tea Latte. The mighty Winfrey chose these ingredients, and each drink sold, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy Foundation.

Just because drinks are seasonal doesn’t mean customers have to order by the rules. Coffee is for enjoyment, therefore, it is made any way desired. No matter which way it is prepared, Starbucks will ensure the utmost quality.
