Women's Fall Fashion

As the cool breeze of fall starts to pick up we find ourselves scrambling to grab our favorite sweater or jacket. Sweaters and jackets are just the gateway to fall fashion. With popular trends such as bulky scarves, thick sweaters and all different styles of boots becoming so popular it is hard to ignore the rising fashion trends.

            Fall weather is known for being somewhat warm but just cool enough to layer up your clothing. For this time of year, long sleeve shirts and sweatshirts are very popular. As for the days when it starts to get chillier, bulky sweaters and vests certainly come in handy, and add some unique twists to your everyday fashion. Senior Macey Bailey said, “Fall fashion is my favorite because I can pair all my t-shirts with vests and it will make them look cuter."

            If jeans aren’t really your thing then I have news for you. Leggings are highly acceptable when it comes to fall fashion. Leggings are the perfect combination of comfortable and fashionable. There are your standard black leggings that can be paired with just about anything, but then you also have a variety of printed leggings to choose from. Leggings can be worn with oversized t-shirts or sweatshirts, they can also be a cute addition to a dress if you’re trying to stay warm and if the weather seems to change dramatically they can be worn under jeans. They are a very versatile piece of clothing. 

            As for fall shoes, it seems that boots are the most popular footwear. There is your standard riding boot that is taller and hits below the knee and can we worn with dresses, leggings or jeans. Also, there is the combat boot which can be any color and it slightly shorter hitting around the lower leg. Combat boots come in a variety of different styles. Once the temperature starts to drop it will be time to pull out the ever so popular Ugg boot, but luckily we’ve got some time before we pull those out. 

            Last but not least, we have our accessories. A scarf can go a long way in the fall. If you purchase a solid color scarf chances are it can be worn with just about any outfit. You can easily dress up a t-shirt or a dress just by tossing on a scarf. Another popular accessory is the beanie. A beanie is a knitted hat that slouches on ones head. There are beanies in all different colors. Beanies add a little flare to your outfit.

            “Fall fashion is my favorite because the ‘lazy’ look is acceptable and I don’t have to try very hard,” Bailey said. This is true about fall fashion. The “lazy” look is very popular mainly because just about any combination of clothing goes. What you wear in the fall is entirely up to you; just remember you have several options to choose from!
