Alternatives
to Watching Football This Year
Everyone’s favorite time of the year
is here – Football season! Well…almost everyone’s favorite time of the year.
For some people, football season is about enjoying the games, being loud,
eating delicious food and cheering for your favorite teams. However, for those
less excited about football season, this is the time of massive headaches, no
fun and it's just a downright bore. Here’s a list of alternative things to do for
all of you out there that do not really like football. Of course most places
are closed the big game day, so these are some simple but totally easy way to
have fun even if you’re not at the game.
1. Have an Anti-Super Bowl
Party. Gather together your friends who have been deserted all football
season and have an Anti Super Bowl Party. While the football fanatics are
having Cokes and pizza, serve your friends more
2. Get together with a friend
for a nice relaxing weekend
3. Stay home and hold the TV remote ALL evening long!
4. Have a mani/pedi party
complete with lotions, nail polish and stick-on decals. Order take-out from
your favorite gourmet shop for you and your girl friends
5. Go to a movie somewhere and watch that new
movie you’ve been wanting to see! What better time to go than when the theater
will be practically empty because of the football season
6. Take
some time to yourself and read a good old-fashioned book. Don’t worry if you
don’t like to read all the time, it doesn’t have to be an every day thing –
just something to pass the time. But for those people that love to read – WHAT
ARE YOU WAITING FOR?
7. Take
a short hibernation if you’ve been feeling like you just aren’t getting enough
sleep.
8. Take
a nice hike somewhere quiet. Take some time for yourself to just think, enjoy
nature or maybe take a couple friends with you and just have some fun
If that is not enough activities to satisfy your boredom
needs, just get creative with your friends and make a big project! Decorate the
house, paint something, rearrange the furniture, and decorate some more! All
the possibilities are really endless. And if you really cannot find anything
else to do with your day while everyone is hopping on the football train, you
might as well join in with them – hey, there’s free food involved!
