The PLAN Test is the pre-test to
the ACT, and is used to prepare students for their upcoming ACT. It allows
students to see what to expect when taking the ACT exam. The exam covers the
basic subjects such as English, Math, Reading, and Science. The exam helps
students to determine what they need to work on when the time comes for them to
take the actual ACT test. The Plan Test gives a great deal of students a
helping hand in determining where to go when the time comes for them to
actually take the exam.
SDHS counselor, Aaron Bronstein,
stated that the test allows students to “ familiarize themselves with the
material” that will soon be on their ACT. Bronstein also said that after the
test students should “focus on the positive” even if they do not believe they
did well. The PLAN is just a predictor for the ACT exam that students will be
taking next year. The PLAN strives to strike awareness in students to allow
them the opportunity to do better when the time for their ACT exam comes
around.
