Thankful – pleased and relieved

I am thankful for the roof over my head

I am thankful for a bed to sleep in

I am thankful for the clothes that cover my skin

I am thankful for the watchful parents that guide me on the right path

I am thankful for the friends that I can fall on when things get rough

I am thankful for the people in my life that will keep me safe

I am thankful for the words that flow from my mouth

I am thankful for the clear skies overhead

I am thankful for the leaves that crunch underfoot

I am thankful for the wind that caresses my hair

I am thankful for all I that I have and all that I have experienced because some have nothing but the clothes on their back and the stories that they have heard
