It’s spirit week here at South
Doyle High School! What’s more fun than dressing up like something you’re not?
Monday we saw some our
favorite super heroes for Marvel Monday! There were a wide variety of super
heroes and villains walking down the hall ranging from Superman to The Joker!
Tuesday
we took a blast into the past and got to experience what it was like in the
other decades. While the 50s, 60, 70s, and 80s were popular we also had some
very odd decades represented. There was a group of four junior girls that went
way back in time and brought out their inner cavewoman. We always have
representatives from back in the pilgrims and Indian days. After school on
Tuesday was a chance for each grade to get together and decorate a square of
sidewalk to help earn their grade points. It will be interesting to see how
each sidewalk turned out.
Wednesday
was an opportunity to let your inner child come out for Walt Disney day! There
were several Disney characters represented Wednesday. The costumes were very
creative and it was apparent the student enjoyed dressing up for this event.
The annual decorating of the hallways also took place on Wednesday afternoon.
Each grade was assigned their designated color and hallway and was given a
three hour time period to get their best work done. It will be interesting to
see who has the best looking hallway.
Following
the hallway decorations, Thursday is color wars. Each grade level is expected
to dress in their designated color to help support their grade.
Friday
is Spirit Day! Bring out your best red and blue and support the school before
their last game of the season. The annual pep rally will also be help Friday
including all kind of fun activities and ways for you to earn points for your
grade!
