Sherlock-
Arthur Conan Doyle’s
beloved story is remade in Steven Moffat’s rendition about the clever, overly
observant, and sociopathic investigator Sherlock Holmes and his companion John
Watson in Sherlock. The story is set in modern London with a
war-ridden John Watson in the search of an apartment when a family friend
suggests he meet someone he knows that is looking for a roommate. John agrees
to meet the man without any prior knowledge of what he’s going to encounter. He
soon meets the man we’ve all come to love from Doyle’s novel to Robert Downy
Jr.’s interpretation of the detective. As soon as John walks into the lab where
Sherlock is working, he is amazed by the amount Sherlock can learn about him by
just observing. He soon moves in and the murder mysteries begin to unravel into
a bigger plot. This six episode series has two seasons starring Benedict
Cumberbatch as Sherlock Holmes and Martin Freeman as John Watson. The third
season airs on Jan. 19th in 2014. You can catch up on the

Hannibal-
Author Thomas Harris wrote
the book Red Dragon where NBC pulls
much of their storyline from. NBC’s Hannibal is about Will Graham, a criminal
profiler, working with the FBI to help catch a serial killer on the loose.
Graham has the ability to emphasize with people from all walks of life. From
the man behind the knife to the victim pierced with fear to the ordinary man
walking down the street. When the serial killer’s mind they’re in hot pursuit
of proves to be too sick and twisted for even Will Graham he enlists the help
of Dr. Hannibal Lector, who we all know as a deranged serial killer with a
taste for human flesh. The renowned psychiatrist helps Will and his team of FBI
agents in the hunt of the killer they cannot seem to get close enough to grasp.
Hugh Dancy plays Will Graham while Mads Mikkelsen plays Hannibal Lector.

The Following-
This series follows ex-FBI
agent Ryan Hardy who broke the tragic case that took the lives of fourteen
young women. He put serial killer Joe Carroll behind bars with the thoughts
that the public would be safe from his twisted need to kill. They were for nine
years while Carroll sat rotting in his cell with time to reflect on the lives
he took. That was until Carroll outwitted the police and escapes in the
first episode of the series taking them by surprise and turning their brief
moment of fragile piece of breaking it. To make matters even worse, cult
members start popping up showing off their support for prominent killer, Joe
Carroll. The series shows the struggle of Ryan Hardy being brought back into a
chapter of his life he closed years ago digging up old loves and frightful
memories. Kevin Bacon plays Ryan Hardy and James Purefoy plays killer Joe
Carroll. The show returns in January of 2014. You can find this series on
either Netflix or Hulu.
Breaking Bad-
AMC’s Breaking Bad follows
Walter White a, simple chemistry teacher, husband, and father who gets
diagnosed with lung cancer. His worries boil over about financial issues and
leaving his family in debt with a baby on the way. Thus leading him to go to
former student Jesse Pinkman for help. The kind of help he enlists Jesse for is
not one most would want to get involved in, but our protagonist is desperate
for money to leave for his family. He enters the insane world of the drug
business. Not just any drug business either, but the highly dangerous large
crystal meth business in New Mexico. His life quickly spirals into a web of
complicated lies as he scrambles to cover his tracks, as he becomes one of the
biggest names in this drug business. You can find the show on websites like
