Summer To Fall Makeup
By: Moira Webb
Trends for a certain season are
almost as old as makeup itself. While some looks are timeless and fit perfectly
with every season, it is also good to change up your look and take things such
as temperature and your skin into account.
Dewy skin is all the rage in Summer.
Your skin is replenishing oils faster, and you do not have to worry about dry
skin. Lighter foundations and BB creams are also worn. However, with the change
in seasons, one might want to consider a matte foundation as opposed to a dewy
one. It is also important to use a moisturizing foundation, or to hydrate your
skin before foundation, as the cooler weather could potentially dry out your
skin.
When people think about Summer
makeup, they either think about bright eyeshadows, or little to no eyeshadow at
all. While bright eyeshadows are fun and playful, in Fall it is best to stick
with neutral and darker eyeshadows. Taupes and crimson colors are very on trend
for Fall 2014.
Staying with the bright Summer
theme, bright lips are a must in the Summer. Glossy lips and fun colors match
everyone’s tans. However, in Fall the lipstick scene is very different. Though
it is not quite Winter and time to bust out the deep dark reds and purples, it
is good to darken your colors a bit. Muted matte colors are often seen. Common
colors include plum, red, burgundy, and cinnamon.
