Fantasy of Trees
It’s that
time of year again! The temperature is dropping; the season is changing; and
the activities are primarily held indoors. The Fantasy of Trees is a fun
activity for all ages. This charity event is sponsored by Children’s Hospital.
This year marked the 29th anniversary of The Fantasy of Trees. The
theme this year was Christmas on Main
Street. This event took place November 27th through December 1st.
There were
several activities that took place at The Fantasy of Trees. It’s no surprise
that there were a variety of decorated trees to walk around and view. There
were 350 trees this year to be exact.
There was
also the ever so popular Gingerbread village that featured tons of gingerbread
houses decorated by local bakers and school children. These houses were definitely
a sight to see. Although these gingerbread houses aren’t to munch on, there was
a station where you could decorate cookies.
Along with
face painting, nail painting, and several other fun things for children to enjoy
there was a variety of shows that took place. Several choruses and dance groups
from around the local area preform at the Fantasy of Trees.
The Fantasy
of Trees is a fun way to get the whole family in the holiday spirit. If you
missed it this year make sure you mark your calendar for next year. This is
something you don’t want to miss!
