Tennessee will be playing between the hedges against (9) Georgia this Saturday in their SEC East opener.
The Volunteers have been preparing for Georgia for the last two weeks, as they had last weekend off. They are hoping the extra time to study the Bulldogs will give them an edge in the game.
Junior RB Todd Gurley, possibly being the best running back Tennessee will see all year, will lead Georgia’s run game. Gurley has rushed for 402 yards on 41 carries this year, along with four touchdowns. These numbers are even more impressive since his playing time was sparse in last week’s 66-0 win over Troy. He rushed for 73 yards on 6 attempts.
"I look forward to playing every opponent. I know he's one of the top running backs. I always like playing the best, so I'm glad he's back," said senior Tennessee LB A.J. Johnson.
Tennessee’s offense will be getting back their starting TE, freshman Ethan Wolf. Wolf suffered a deep bone bruise during Tennessee’s 34-19 win over Arkansas State. Before his injury, Wolf was caught eight receptions for 46 yards and one touchdown. Wolf will bring back another big target for senior QB Justin Worley.
Tennessee vs. (9) Georgia will be played this Saturday at 12:00 P.M. in Athens, Georgia. The game will be aired ESPN.
